HQ Nightclub

We have a great line-up of entertainment for this New Year’s weekend starting off on Thurs 31st December with our New Years Eve Extravaganza! You can Party The Night Away before 12 o’clock with the live band Minus One. Celebrate bringing in the New Year with our Count Down Clock, Fireworks & Party with the always excellent, DJ Aidan Mac! And later on we will have the 1st Live Band Of 2010, Jester!

On Fri 1st January we have DJ Brian Young getting you pumped up for the weekend. The live band is the popular group called BulletProof.

On Sat 2nd January the DJ for tonight is DJ Cozmic. The live band is the great and always energetic Nookie.

For Sun 3rd January the DJ will be our very own HQ DJ. The live band for Sunday is the Domino Effect.

And on Mon 4th January we have our regular and favourite DJ Aidan Mac with The Christmas Hangover Party!

Now for news of this coming weekend’s planned entertainment:

On Fri 6th November – Your DJ for the night is Brian Young. Brian is the much loved presenter of the SPIN Saturday show on Spin Southwest Radio which delivers ‘10 Spin Hits in a Row’, together with all the latest music and entertainment news that will get you into dancing mode.

Your band for Friday night is the ever popular Kenny Ryder & Gogga. Enjoy their strong mix of pop, rock, country and chart music.

On Sat 7th November – DJ Aiden Mac is back again spinning your favourite dance sounds and keeping you up late with all that’s popular in current music.

The live band on Saturday night is the five piece Jester, winners of this years ‘Battle Of The Bands’ competition beating over 500 other entrants at the Sea Sessions Festival.

Using catchy melodies & interesting arrangements from lead guitarist Tossy Maher accompanied by dark lyrics from front man Colin Demspey, Jester is described by Hotpress as “players of hard rock with confidence, style and a punky attitude who know how to take a song on the town & show it a good time”

Now – Do you have the HQ Factor?

Because on Sun 8th November its Karaoke  night at HQ. So you think you’re  a budding La Rous, Buble, Jackson, Sinatra, Dion, Allen or a Beyonce etc?  But do you have the HQ Factor?  You Do!

Best then to practise your dance routines, sharpen those vocal chords, because we have a prize fund of €1,000 to be won, over the next five weeks for the best Karaoke performance over that five week period.

Remember first only 50 customers through the door will receive a complimentary pint of Coors Light to lubricate those vocal chords.

This event will be followed immediately by our usual popular 80’s Sunday Night Disco.

You never know who you will run into at HQ. We had a visit from Una Healy of the five piece girl pop band The Saturdays who dropped in a couple of weeks back. Last weekend it was TV3 News Anchor and Midday TV Hostess, the georgeous Colette Fitzpatrick,  who joined us to relax on a well deserved night off with a few friends.

On Fri 18th September Your DJ for the evening is the music master himself DJ Fitz. DJ Fitz works on the Spin South West drive time radio show Spin Hits!

Friday is a Traditional Irish Music Night in Molly’s Bar, so grab your bodhrán,banjo, bagpipes, bouzouki or whatever you play and join in the session.  Note there is a free bar before 10.30pm.

On Sat 19th Setember your DJ for tonight is HQ’s very own Top Radio DJ Aidan Mac, as always keeping you informed & up to date with all that’s popular in the music charts.

On Sun 20th September Our DJ for tonight is Shay, playing all your new dance chart R’n'B, Club Classics and Party Favourites for your complete night’s entertainment.

The live band on Sunday night sees the welcome return of Jester, winners of this years ‘Battle Of The Bands’ competition beating over 500 other entrants at the Sea Sessions Festival.

Using catchy melodies & interesting arrangements from lead guitarist Tommy Maher accompanied by dark lyrics from front man Colin Demspey, Jester is described by Hotpress as “players of hard rock with confidence, style and a punky attitude who know how to take a song on the town & show it a good time”

Released in May 2007 Jester’s debut single “Maria” enjoyed success with a chart place and extensive airplay. Today FM’s Ian Demspey was the first DJ to spin the release. “Maria” also topped the DownloadMusic.ie chart for two weeks, a feat that was achieved a few months later again when “Scream” was digitally released.

The wait is over. The time is now. The new HQ Nightclub opens in Thurles tonight at 9:30PM, Friday July 3rd.

The HQ Nightclub is a network of clubs and bars that have come together under a single roof to give you the ultimate in entertainment and choice. There are no less than six unique theme bars within the HQ Nightclub… including The Red Room, The Black Room, Molly’s Bar, The Brew Bar, The Outback and the main HQ Nightclub itself.

Molly’s Bar

This is our Traditional Irish Pub bar and it’s a great place to start off the night!

Molly’s Bar features a comfortable and familiar environment to meet up with friends. Everything about Molly’s Bar has a tradional feel, the decor, the furniture and even those old style Guinness posters!

The Outback

The Outback is our awesome outdoor area.

The Red Room

The Red Room is a great spot to hang out. This bar features a cozy and warm red tone throughout.

The Black Room

The Black Room is the most secretive room. Little is known about this room. You will have to visit it yourself to find out more!

The Brew Bar

The Brew Bar is for those that enjoy a quieter pace and a good beer. It doesn’t get better than this!
