On Fri 28th August your DJ for tonight is Mr Music himself, Cozmic, playing you into the midnight hours with his own very special blend of chart hits.

Also on Friday night your chance to meet the popular band Hot Ashes.

This Cork trio have had years of experience playing Ireland, England and Europe and  between them have played with some of the top bands in the country including Menace, Revenge, Shake’n'Bake, Yell O Belly, Loaded and Deuces Wild.

This band cover artists from the 60′s to present date eg. Kings of Leon, Razorlight, Killers, Lady GaGa, ACDC, Metallica, Foo Fighters, Guns’n'Roses, Greenday, Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, Sterophonics, Queen, Smash Mouth, Snow Patrol, Thin Lizzy, etc…..

On Sat 29th August the DJ for tonight is HQ’s very own top radio DJ Aidan Mac who will keep you up late and up to date with all that’s popular in the latest music charts.

The live band on Saturday night is the popular local band Infantini Brothers.

On Sun 30th August our DJ for tonight is Shay, playing all your new dance chart R n B Club Classics and Party Favourites for your complete night’s entertainment.

The band for Sunday night is popular Kenny Ryder & Gogga. Enjoy the strong mix of pop, rock, country and chart music from this duo.

Kenny Ryder & Gogga have recently been in the recording studio and have kindly supplied us with a sample track called ‘Have You Ever Seen The Rain?’ from that recording session!

On Fri 21st August your DJ for tonight is DJ Simon Young. Simon plays all the latest dance, pop and chart music.

Also on Friday night we have the popular band Force 10.

Force 10 is a classic rock band and play music from the 1960’s, 70’s, 80’s & 90’s. Force 10 rock to the music of Roxy Music, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Horslips, Tom Petty, Rory Gallagher, Thin Lizzy, Steve Earle, Lynard Skynard, Neil Young, Bob Segar, INXS, The Yardbirds and many more great artists.

On Sat 22nd August the DJ for tonight is HQ’s very own Aidan Mac keeping you up late and up to date with all that’s popular in music.

The live band on Saturday night is the five piece Jester, winners of this years ‘Battle Of The Bands’ competition beating over 500 other entrants at the Sea Sessions Festival.

Using catchy melodies & interesting arrangements from lead guitarist Tossy Maher accompanied by dark lyrics from front man Colin Demspey, Jester is described by Hotpress as “players of hard rock with confidence, style and a punky attitude who know how to take a song on the town & show it a good time”

Released in May 2007 Jester’s debut single “Maria” enjoyed success with a chart place and extensive airplay. Today FM’s Ian Demspey was the first DJ to spin the release. “Maria” also topped the DownloadMusic.ie chart for two weeks, a feat that was achieved a few months later again when “Scream” was digitally released.

Jester have been fortunate enough to have played an energetic 45 minute show at Oxegen 06,  and have supported acts such as The Blizzards, Director, Paddy Casey, and Aslan.

On Sun 23rd August our DJ for tonight is DJ Fitz who will spin you into the late hours with all that’s new in dance, pop and chart music.

The band for Sunday night is The Domino Effect who are a rock covers band based in Kilkenny.

The Domino Effect are all about entertainment, producing an energetic and fun performance for your enjoyment. Expect to hear songs from artists such as The Police, U2, Kings of Leon, Coldplay, Bon Jovi and lots more!

DJ Fitz & Friends

On Fri 14th August our DJ for tonight is the DJ Fitz. DJ Fitz plays all the latest dance, pop and chart music. DJ Fitz work on Spin South West drive time show spin hits!

The Band this Friday is Gasoline Rainbow who are made up of Neil Quirke (Vocals/Guitars), Vinny Flynn (Bass/Keys), Joe Gallagher (Guitars/Mandolin) and John O’Farrell (Vocals/Drums).  The band are an indie/rock band from Cashel, Co. Tipperary, Ireland.

Gasoline Rainbow were formed in the wake of successful studio time and recording sessions at GAF Studios and are deemed to have real potential having built up a unique set of original material coupled with select and personalised cover versions. The band has continued to write and record original material over the last few years and have taken to the road to ply their obvious musical talent.

On Sat 15th August the DJ for tonight is  Aidan Mac.

The band on Saturday night is popular local indie rock innovators Minus One. Everyone at HQ are thrilled to welcome back Minus One, a group whose contemporary sound continues to keep this band in high demand among its well established fan base.

DJ Brian Young

On Sun 16th August we have the awesome DJ Brian Young, also of Spin Southwest fame.

Sunday night’s band features an acoustic set from local popular musicians Paul Byrne and Bono. A unique fusion of all things indie and rock, this singer/songwriting duo continue to push the boundaries. Their debut album entitled Moving Ghosts, has already captivated live audiences in major music venues around Ireland. Here’s a NEW sample track called ‘Hope’ from that album!

On Friday 7th August the DJ for tonight is the Spin South West DJ Brian Young. Brian is a regular at the HQ now, with good reason. The band on Friday night is a new band for the HQ and they are called X Hail.

On Saturday 8th August the DJ in the main HQ Nightclub is DJ Aiden Mac. It’s going to be another awesome saturday night!

The band on Saturday is Nookie. Nookie are a brand new Pop and Rock cover band, featuring ex-members from Bluemoose, Menace & J-90. This band are hot on the scene at the moment!
